Novotel Suites Paris Issy les Moulineaux

The staff were really friendly and all spoke excellent English. Our family room was laid out well and had a large shower. The breakfast is mostly continental with lots of pastries, so it may disappoint if you want a hot breakfast. The hotel is outside the center, but it’s on an RER line and the train is very quick when it’s running. Tickets cost €2.50 per person each way, which can add up for a family going back and forth across Paris all day.

We needed to catch a train, but first had to get our bags from the cloakroom. The receptionist said they’d been having trouble opening it since morning. He only started trying to fix the problem once we came to claim our luggage, even though he’d known about it for hours. When we explained we had a train to catch, he said he was doing what he could and told us not to ask him for more. Eventually the cloakroom opened, but we had to run to make the train. The service was very poor.

My children and I had a lovely week here. It was a great location with good connections, and the staff were kind. Amadou deserves a special mention for always making sure we had a clean, pleasant table at breakfast. When we arrived, I asked for help with my daughter’s food allergy and suitable meals, but nobody helped us. A few days later I saw another family getting advice about their dietary needs, so I wondered why our experience was different. The air conditioning also wasn’t effective, and with the windows open we ended up with lots of mosquito bites.

The rooms are huge and practical for a family of four, and the front desk staff on both the day and evening shifts were pleasant, helpful, and professional. Finding the hotel can be tricky, even with GPS. The breakfast area is a little small and gets crowded easily. Thank you to the team.
