Hotel Restaurant Faller Emmebuckel

We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy, clean guesthouse. The restaurant's panoramic terrace is fabulous, and the food and wines were excellent. Their rosé Crémant was the best I've tasted. It gets very busy, so book a table in advance. One disappointment: we wanted to buy some wine before leaving, but couldn't. The breakfast staff also seemed less friendly than the people we'd met at lunch and dinner the day before.

I only came for dinner, not to stay overnight. The food was great, and the waiter was really cute and helpful. The risotto with foie gras was AMAZING.

The restaurant was the highlight for me: the food was tasty and made with quality ingredients, though the crème brûlée didn't work for me. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated in a warm local style, and had everything we needed. We were even given some sweets. I stayed for a short trip using an experience package. The staff were nice, and I get the impression this may be a family business. There's free on-site parking. One thing I'd suggest is dealing with the cat smell by the entrance. Also, if you're staying on the second floor, be aware the stairs from the first floor are steep.

The vineyard views are beautiful, and everything we ate was delicious. I especially liked the beef cutlet, fries, and pistachio ice cream. Service moves at a slower pace here, so expect to spend at least two hours, but the food and view make it worthwhile.
