Aparthotel Adagio Access Paris Quai D'Ivry

We booked five nights for our family, including two girls aged 3 and 9, but left at 4 a.m. on May 29 after one night. The apartment was unbearable: one room was 31°C and the other over 33°C, with no air conditioning. There were bugs in the bedroom, a dirty bed base, filthy electrical sockets, and a bad smell throughout. The bed setup was unsafe for young children and unlike what had been advertised. The Booking.com photos were fake or retouched. We took photos and contacted Booking.com right away. After a 45-minute call at 2 a.m., we had no choice but to find emergency accommodation, with two exhausted children. The new hotel, taxi, and phone calls cost us over €1,300. Booking.com opened a refund case, but the property refused to give us a full refund despite the unacceptable conditions and what we believe was a clear breach of basic health and safety standards. I have photographic evidence of everything. Don't book this place, especially with children. What we experienced was dangerous and unacceptable.

It's a residential neighborhood rather than a tourist area, which I liked, though French is useful. The local area felt safe and was easy to get around. Right by the hotel circle are three bars; our favorite was The Bear Café, directly opposite, with good food and drinks at local prices. There are three mini-supermarkets within a five-minute walk, plus Les Delices d'Ivry, a great patisserie. More shops, bars, and restaurants are about ten minutes away. The RER C is a five- to ten-minute walk, with regular trains taking about 15 minutes to central Paris. That's quicker than a shorter Métro ride from farther in. There's also a Métro station about 20 minutes away. We booked a larger room for a bit more, and it had a good amount of space and was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, small hob, cutlery, pans, and bowls. The bath as well as the shower was a real bonus. The bed was a decent size, though the sheet was a little small. A small table and two chairs worked well for breakfast. Reception is open 24/7, and entry uses a PIN code. The receptionists were cheerful and helpful. There's a little meeting area, things to borrow like pod coffee makers, and a football table. The reception shop, free coffee, and cold water were handy. A great place to stay if you're visiting Paris.

The friendly, professional staff were always ready to help, and breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had a good variety. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had modern amenities. The peaceful location was close to the main attractions. It felt like luxury for the price. I'd happily stay again and recommend it.

Kamel was the most professional staff member I've dealt with here. On business trips I've needed to extend my stay or add my company's details to the invoice, and the staff have had trouble with those requests. Kamel handled reservation and stay issues, was always pleasant and smiling, and kept a good mood. Big thumbs up for him!
