Mercure Paris Ivry Seine

It was everything we needed for one night. The room was clean and had the basics, with a firm, new-feeling mattress and vinyl flooring. Breakfast offered a nice range of breads and croissants, cereal, eggs, bacon, yogurt, and a fancy coffee machine. Staff were helpful, though not especially friendly.

The location was quiet, with food, groceries, and a bus stop nearby. Check-in was easy, and our room felt clean and comfortable. The shower could use an update, and breakfast was just okay. We've stayed here twice and enjoyed both visits.

The room felt spacious and airy, and breakfast had a good selection of food. We were warmly welcomed at reception when we arrived.

It was disappointing to see how management handled the dining area, which was split into two separate sections. That gave me the impression of poor hospitality and a lack of consideration and basic human compassion. The carpet was extremely dirty, and when I came back to my room there were footprints in the bathroom. In many Asian cultures, people take off their shoes before entering a bathroom, especially in hotels, for hygiene. That standard of cleanliness wasn't met here, and I'd never run into this in all my travels across many countries. The beauty of such a remarkable city was overshadowed by this stay and the attitude of some of the staff.
