Premiere Classe Tours Sud Joué les Tours

The bed was comfortable and the rooms were good, and the hotel is only minutes from the motorway. I often stay at Campanile hotels and haven't been let down yet. This one also has a little restaurant on site, with excellent steak and fries and a superb bottle of wine.

The receptionist was friendly and spoke English on both visits, and checkout was quick and uncomplicated. I stayed here on both the outbound and return legs of a trip south, booking two rooms each time. The rooms were clean and most things worked, though the air conditioning was a bit hit or miss. The cardboard key cards were flaky, but they did work if you were patient, and you need to keep them away from your phone. Paying online in advance was the cheapest and quickest option. It's a cheap, cheerful place for an overnight stop, easy to find from the main highway and perfectly suitable for that. There were extra towels at reception. The restaurant in the adjacent property offered a 15% discount. Otherwise, there's a chain restaurant across the road in the Supermarché car park that sells decent beer, and a McDonald's within walking distance.

A clean, practical one star hotel with no frills or pretensions. It's a good option if you're travelling by car.

It was noisy at night, and the rooms smelled of cigarettes. Still, for a one night stop, what can you expect? :-)
