Le Nid de Cigognes Kintzheim

We'd definitely come back to this comfortable, nicely decorated apartment in Kintzheim, a pretty town on the wine route. It's a handy base for visiting Alsace, about 20 minutes from Colmar and 40 from Strasbourg. It has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Patricia, the owner, was very friendly and told us about places of interest. We'd recommend it to anyone visiting Alsace. We said it twice because we really mean it: this is the perfect apartment for exploring the region.

Right in the heart of the little village of Kintzheim, this cozy, pleasant apartment is very clean and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was good, and tourist sites are less than 20 minutes away. The owner was very kind and friendly. I'd recommend it.

It felt like a little nest, full of hearts, little hearts, and cute objects that remind you to be kinder. My wife and I had a great time there. Such a beautiful, quaint place.

We went as a group of 35, and the meal was a mess. My wife is allergic to vinaigrette, but they said they couldn't serve her salad without dressing because the salads were prepared in advance. After we discussed it, they washed the salad. That left me wondering whether the kitchen even had fresh greens. The veal rack was more like a roast, the vegetables were dry, and the carrot flan was crusty. The dessert was acceptable. Coffee came on a tray, and the waitress asked if we wanted it for 1.80 euros, which struck me as ridiculous. The bill was paid by the ladleful, and nobody could follow the count. This was my experience of a restaurant worthy of a cafeteria. I'd avoid it.
