The concept is fantastic, but we had a very bad stay from Saturday to Monday, and the customer service was terrible. On Sunday, they offered to move us because nobody had come to repair the sauna. The steps in the new suite were dirty with exfoliating salt, there was a yellow mark on the cushion, and the whirlpool tap leaked. We’d been told by phone that this suite was bigger, but it wasn’t. Our first suite was actually the largest, with a 360° view, so we refused the move. The problems started on Saturday: the sauna didn’t work and no one came to fix it. The whirlpool and shower taps leaked, there was a green stain on the duvet, and the curtains had mold. Then on Monday they forgot our breakfast and hadn’t told the cleaning staff we were leaving at 1 p.m. The cleaner arrived at 11 a.m. expecting us to vacate. On Saturday, the staff member didn’t even seem to try to find a solution, and on Monday, after 20 calls to reach a manager, no one answered. They need to make a huge effort with customer service.

The houseboat stay had a lovely, unusual setting and a warm atmosphere. The bedding was comfortable, and it made for a pleasant change of getaway. But the sauna wouldn’t work when we followed the instructions or tried again before bed. It was finally working by the time we woke up. The terrace chair was broken and collapsed when I sat down, making me fall onto my back. The air conditioning was also so noisy that we couldn’t sleep properly all night.

We had a terrible night because of all the noise around us. In the morning, sitting on the small terrace felt unpleasant too, with everyone looking at us. Our room was on the restaurant and hotel side. The room was very nice and clean, breakfast was fine, and the town is beautiful, but the water pressure was almost nonexistent. The whirlpool took two hours to fill by 10 cm, and there was barely any water in it. The shower was just as bad, making it impossible to wash my hair. Honestly, it’s disappointing and not worth the price.

The sauna was out of order, the sheets were dirty, the taps leaked, and the breakfast included in our booking never arrived. We booked two nights for our wedding anniversary, and got no customer service at all. I’m so disappointed I don’t know where to start. I’d give it 0/5 without hesitation. Avoid this place unless you want to be let down and then have to fight to get a response.
