Hôtel de Charme & Spa Villa Cosare

We had lovely sea views from our double room at the front of the property, including a distant view of île de Noirmoutier. It was small but functional, with an en-suite shower room and access to a large balcony shared with the next room. The views were lovely, and in the fine weather we enjoyed watching the beach below and the sunsets. For a beachside location, the accommodation is good value. Owners and staff were always welcoming and friendly. Our half-board first night included a three-course dinner, and buffet breakfasts on both mornings had plenty of choice. Meals were served in the bright restaurant facing the sea, and dinner was good and nicely presented. There was no food or bar service on our second night, so we ate nearby and enjoyed our own bottle of wine on the balcony at sunset. Guests can also have a drink on the ground-floor terrace and take in the view. The hotel is a short walk from the main town, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and beaches. There’s also a safe seawater lake in front of the hotel where you can swim even at low tide. It makes a good base for exploring the region. We stayed in early June and parked outside the hotel, though I can imagine that could be harder in high season.
