La Grange Evasion

The owners were attentive and helpful while we were arranging our association's seminar at La Grange Evasion, and the event went very smoothly. Its large main room is both lovely and welcoming, and the accommodation is comfortable. It also made a good place to get away from the city and recharge. We highly recommend it for this kind of event.

The owners' concern about noise made it hard to feel any privacy. During a family dinner two days before our wedding, the owner came by four times. It wasn't a noisy gathering with friends, but each time he spoke to us in a rather unfriendly tone and accused us of breaking the contract because he had noticed people whose names had not been given before the rental. Apparently, they need the names of everyone staying at the cottage, as well as anyone who might come for dinner. The cottage itself is spacious and as described, but I strongly advise against staying here because of the lack of privacy.

The big barn room, with foosball and ping-pong, was a great setting for a New Year's weekend with friends. It's a really nice place. Just keep in mind that some rooms have few amenities, and some double beds made up of two 90 cm mattresses need extra sheets.

The only things we felt could use work were the somewhat muddy parking area and a few details in the kitchen. Otherwise, we had no problems during our three-day stay for New Year's Eve 2018-2019. There were 25 of us, with separate bedrooms that were very comfortable, and the well-equipped gîte let us cook our own meals. The owners were helpful whenever we needed them.
