For a stay, there’s a cozy family-run hotel in a house dating back to the early 18th century, with attentive service and warm hosts. The surrounding nature reserve is stunning, with medieval artifacts and places that could have come from Dumas's beloved novels. An early 13th-century abbey brings a sense of fantasy and wonder, while the palaces and castles have stories and secrets to share. If you want to experience the charm of this mysterious, romantic country, more sophisticated itineraries through places like these are a better choice. A visit to Paris alone doesn’t mean you’ve seen France. It’s such a huge tourist destination, shaped by customs and traditions from around the world, that the country’s own flavor can be hard to make out. There’ll be some great photo opportunities here, too.

The elegant setting helped make the evening a success. I was invited to a wedding here and was pleasantly surprised by the refined venue. It can hold a large number of guests while still feeling warm.

We had a perfect wedding here. The owner was very kind and helpful throughout the planning, and the elegant venue worked well for around a hundred guests.

Maybe it was the rain that April day, but the place really didn’t appeal to me. It felt soulless, and the facilities were minimal.

We had a stunning view of the surrounding countryside from our room, and the room itself was particularly lovely. The owners were warm and welcoming. My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this unique rural setting. We never thought we’d find such a beautiful spot so close to Paris. We highly recommend it and will be back soon!
