Communication with the owner was easy, and the welcome was adequate. I’d booked one night with half-board, though I hadn’t realized we’d need to reheat the simple, hearty meal in a microwave. Two of the three beds, each 90 cm wide, creaked with even the slightest movement. For hikers, adding seasonal fruit to breakfast would be nice.

Jeannine was very accommodating, and the hostel had everything we needed. I stayed one night at the Relais des Castors before heading out on the GR400. My room was spacious, with a lovely view across Murat’s rooftops. The walls are a little thin, but everyone was considerate. Thank you! 🙏🏼
