Premiere Classe Orléans Ouest - La Chapelle Saint Mesmin

It was clean, and the price was quite reasonable, but the room had a really musty smell that made staying there unpleasant. It also badly needed refurbishing. I expected a more modern hotel.

The shower felt cramped for me, since I'm a big guy, though that was my main complaint. Everything was clean, including the sheets, and it was quiet overnight. The room itself was standard, with a double bed and its own toilet and shower. I arrived after 11pm for a one-night stay, used the automatic machine to get a room quickly, then got my access code with the card, parked inside, and went up. For a reasonable price, there's not much to complain about. At a similar price and star rating, I'd put it a whole order of magnitude above the F1 hotels. I'd definitely recommend it for a night or two, or three, in the area.

The receptionist was friendly, and it was dog friendly, which mattered to us. We were on the first floor, and there is a lift. The room was clean and smelled fresh, without the cigarette smell we'd run into at other hotels in the same chain. It was quiet too, with no constant traffic noise. Couldn't fault it for an overnight stop.

The pillows are a joke, and the ensuite looks like a moulded plastic unit wedged into the corner. Still, it was clean and cheap. We stayed just one night while travelling elsewhere, and for that price and purpose it did the job. You get what you pay for.
