B&B HOTEL Nantes Parc Expos La Chapelle

Getting into Nantes took about 20 minutes by car, so keep that in mind. We were visiting a friend and had a ride, and didn’t try the buses. There’s a huge supermarket fairly close by, too. We were four, with two adults and two kids. The room was small but worked fine, though reaching the children’s beds in the loft meant using a very steep staircase. The bathroom was tight as well, especially for the taller people in our family, who had to be careful not to bump their heads on the sink while sitting on the toilet. The shower had good pressure and drained properly, and we found enough spots between the room and bathroom to hang all four towels. The plentiful breakfast was delicious, and I especially appreciated that they had gluten-free madeleines. For the price, this was a really good stay.

Breakfast felt a little expensive for what you got, and there wasn’t a refrigerator, not even in the lobby. You’ll also need a car since it’s far from the city. Still, we had a nice two-night stay with our three kids. The small room was pleasant, thoughtfully designed, and had good beds. The bathroom was good, with hot water whenever we needed it. Wi-Fi worked great, parking was free, and there was a lobby machine for coffee, tea, and snacks.

We picked this place at the last minute while travelling through France. It’s right by the motorway, which made it a perfect stop for the night. The room was great and the shower superb, without any of the nonsense you sometimes get at other hotels.

The kids loved the mezzanine room, and it was clean, with fresh linens. With three suitcases and our backpacks, though, the room and bathroom felt pretty tiny. Late self check-in was a real help, and very easy to do.
