Studios La Parenthèse

We won't be back next year. The room looked pretty, but there was dust, and the bathroom needs work and a refresh. The location was quiet and the cottage looked lovely from outside. We were visiting family with our three children and parked in front of the garage. Sorry about that, but there wasn't a parking space suited to the size of the cottage, and nobody had messaged us to say we should park somewhere else. Then at 6 a.m. the owner came banging on the door, angry. That was very inconvenient and not professional. We'll find a more welcoming cottage.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and there was loads of it. The soft-boiled eggs from the owner's own hens were so good. We were warmly welcomed, and the room was clean and spacious in a lovely house. Thanks so much, it was a great place to stay.

Everything was perfect, and the cleanliness was exemplary. We stayed a few nights in a guest room and one night in a studio while passing through the region in June. The owners were helpful, and both the rooms and studio were very pleasant. The welcome was so warm we'd give it a sixth star if we could.

I was there as a guest for a communion meal, so I can't say anything about the bed and breakfast or the other amenities. The setting was beautiful, with a large garden and a pond, and two magnificent, playful border collies. The owner was friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with him.
