La Barillerie

The room was peaceful, and so was the spot around the gîte, even though it’s a little out of the way. Our host was lovely and gave us useful tips. There were adorable animals everywhere, too. A perfect stay, thanks to all our hosts, on two legs and four.

We were welcomed so warmly, and the cottage was comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was generous, with local things like jam. It’s a lovely place for couples or families, and La Flèche is close by, with an easy drive to the zoo. Many thanks for being so available and welcoming. Breakfast came in a lovely setting and there was plenty of it. The house is very pretty, and we were made to feel welcome. Our room was clean and thoughtfully laid out, the bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms have been renovated with good taste.

My husband, our 8-year-old daughter and I stayed for two nights. She especially enjoyed feeding the many animals on the property. Our hosts were charming and paid close attention to our comfort. The house is beautiful and has a warm, family feel. The rooms were lovely and clean, with modern comforts in a very old building. The location and welcome were great, and breakfast was enormous. We’ll definitely come back.
