Château du Maurier

Everything felt dreamy, and the château was spotless and beautiful. We had a lovely chat with Eric, the owner, and Chouchou was so helpful and kind. Everyone made us feel welcome, and breakfast was great. I'd happily recommend staying here.

The lake outside my room caught the morning light, with vineyards and rolling hills all around it. Château de Maurier feels like stepping into a storybook, from its turrets and ivy-covered walls to the gardens spread across the French countryside. Inside, the antique furniture, tapestries, chandeliers, grand halls, and plush lounges made me feel like royalty. The staff were warm and attentive from the start, ready to help with even small requests. They suggested places to explore in nearby villages and went out of their way to make things work for us. There was plenty to enjoy outdoors too, from walks around the grounds to wine on the terrace and exploring the surrounding countryside. The château has a lovely old-world charm, and I can't wait to come back. It combines history, luxury, and genuinely welcoming hospitality.

We stayed in a beautiful old château surrounded by gorgeous scenery in the heart of France. Its antiques gave the place a real vintage feel, like stepping back in time. The hosts were very friendly, and breakfast was good. There are country walks and a heated pool, so it's easy to unwind here. I'd recommend spending at least a few days, or even weeks, if you want a proper rest.
