The hotel is in a good spot, and we got a very warm welcome. Breakfast had an interesting range of choices. Our twin room was very small, and one of the two outlets, the one under the radiator, barely worked. The only other one was by the TV.

The breakfast buffet was generous, with English-style choices like scrambled eggs and sausages. There’s also a handy picnic room with a fridge and microwave for people on the road. The rooms are comfortable and each has its own bathroom, and the staff are lovely and attentive. It’s a charming hotel with quirky themed decor that should suit fishing fans and motorcyclists.

There’s a secure, protected garage for motorcycles, and a shared room where you can sit and relax, with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and more. The hotel was clean and nicely equipped. My room was comfortable, though the bathroom was very small and tucked into a cubicle. Breakfast was very good.
