The château has been carefully renovated into a private residence with 25 suites for short or longer stays, making for a refined, relaxing place to visit. It sits right in the village, and its generous proportions and classical 18th-century style make it a standout building. The ornate triangular pediment is framed by four square towers. The grounds were expanded and the restoration begun in 1849 under Count Mathieu de La Redorte. In the mid-19th century, an architect from Carcassonne named Champagne carried out further restoration. Worth discovering.
