La Musardière

The house is decorated with great taste, and Marie is a wonderful cook. She’s also easy to talk to about anything. We had two lovely nights in this really pretty, peaceful place that feels a world away. I’d recommend it if you want a change of scenery.

We felt right at home in this house tucked into the heart of the Double, and getting there was easy as long as you follow Waze. Marie made us feel so welcome. Dinner was simple, unfussy, and full of local flavors, while breakfast was elegant and straightforward. Thanks, Marie 😘

There wasn’t anywhere to relax outside the small rooms, and the soundproofing was poor enough that you could hear people talking in the next room’s bathroom. The location was good and the food decent, though the portions were small. Breakfast was very average, with only commercially made brioche.

There’s no internet or phone signal, so you can’t even send a message, and the guesthouse is in the middle of nowhere. For the price, it’s definitely not worth it. The rooms have no soundproofing: I could hear the phone next door, showers, and other guests talking. The bed was uncomfortable and I woke with a sore back. Opening the window meant putting up the mosquito net to keep hornets, wasps, and mosquitoes out. Breakfast was mediocre, served only between 8:30-9:30 am, so there’s no chance to sleep in. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place. Avoid it.
