Club Med Serre Chevalier

As a solo adult, this was my first Club Med trip, and it spoiled me. Since I booked flights through Club Med, the pickup and transfer went smoothly, although the bus waited for people arriving on several flights, so there was quite a bit of waiting. The resort felt brand new, and the staff were so friendly. My level 3 snowboarding lessons were great. We spent more time playing and laughing than riding aggressively, which was fun. The food and drinks were very decent, and I probably ate too much. One day I found a crawling bug under my made-up sheets. I also wanted to swim but was put off after someone said the water was cold. Still, the easy ski-to-door access, comfortable room, unlimited food, and included lessons more than made up for those things.

Even during one of the resort's busiest weeks, everything ran smoothly and the staff stayed cheerful. The rooms were comfortable, the buffet was small but had what we needed, and the bar and entertainment were great. Jean Pierre is a fantastic chef de village, upbeat, energetic, and always ready to help. Xavier and Saufienne at the restaurant deserve a special mention. We had a wonderful stay, and it exceeded my expectations. I'd highly recommend it. One thing that could be improved is letting the resort doctor or nurse provide basic prescriptions, which would save a trip to the medical center. Having a nurse or doctor on site in the first place is a real benefit.

The team made such a difference to our stay. Pierre Jean and his staff, including Marie, Simon, Lenny, Valentin, Pauline, and Brieuc from the boutique, were attentive, upbeat, and always seemed to anticipate what we needed. We loved everything from the food, atmosphere, and rooms to the service, ESF tour guides, and entertainment. The location was great, too. Every part of the experience went beyond what we'd hoped for. We miss it already and can't wait to return and make more memories.

The Kids' Club was run to a really high standard, and getting to the slopes was easy. The hotel was spotless and well maintained, with lots of delicious food and consistently thoughtful service. We felt looked after throughout our stay. Pierre, the manager, deserves special credit. He was professional and attentive, and kept everything running smoothly. The team clearly cares about its guests. We had an incredible time and would absolutely recommend it, a 10/10 stay.
