Hotel Mont Thabor

Good value for the area, with a decent breakfast. There wasn’t much savory choice and no eggs; the bread wasn’t as good as elsewhere, though it was fresh, and the fruit was a welcome plus. The room was comfortable, but arranging twin beds didn’t seem very flexible. We were on the road side and heard enough traffic overnight to feel some discomfort.

The people were really nice and offered extra courtesy. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well furnished, and breakfast was excellent. Very good value for the price. There’s also a handy garage for bikes and motorcycles.

The good points were excellent bread at breakfast, a closed garage for the motorcycle, and a five-minute walk to the center of La Salle les alpes. Our room faced the backyard and was quiet. There were some drawbacks, though. The ground floor in the room wasn’t proper, and the breakfast room furniture was awkward, with seats that felt either too low or too high. The bike garage looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years and was full of dust and garbage. Rooms facing the street must be horrible because of the heavy traffic.

The bed was very comfortable and the price-quality ratio very good. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with healthy choices as well as the usual options.
