I came here to recharge, and that's exactly what I did. La Bastide Tourmaline is a charming, peaceful place surrounded by nature and animals, and I want to thank Virginie and Christian for their wonderful hospitality. They'd left drinks and ice in the fridge for my arrival. They're genuine, thoughtful, discreet, and always up for a chat. Mr. Christian's determination and strength of mind really touched me, as did his humor: “it will hold by the power of the Holy Spirit.” He'll understand. The gîte felt comfortable and well equipped, like home. There's bedding, a sofa bed with an impeccable mattress topper, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and internet access, two TVs, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and more. Bring laundry detergent and toilet paper. I also bring sponges and dish soap. And above all, bring a good mood. If you don't arrive with one, you'll soon have one! The large terrace has garden furniture, shade at midday and in the evening, and a constant view of the Luberon. There's also a private garden with sun loungers, armchairs, a garden table, and chairs. The large pool is great for swimming laps, and the patio has breathtaking views of the Luberon. I never tire of looking at it. There are animals around, all just as discreet as the hosts: two adorable dogs, Vinka and Pixel, two donkeys, Pablo and Omalie, and the rooster and his courtyard. There's also a large pétanque court, so don't forget your boules, with a vintage outdoor café that's perfect for an aperitif between games. A lovely pond has frogs and carp. La Tour d'Aigues is 2.5 km away, with a small supermarket, banks, and everything else within a 30-minute walk. There's a market on Tuesday mornings. For bigger grocery shops and petrol, go to nearby Pertuis. If you love the countryside, nature, animals, peace, simplicity, and serenity, this is the place. Thank you both again, with all my affection, Miss Muller.
