We were there for a fortnight and came away feeling it was the perfect holiday. Frédéric and Gaëlle made us feel at home, always welcoming and happy to help with our stay and ideas for places to visit. Breakfast was delicious, with a different little treat each time, and they catered for our dairy-free diet. We also loved the generous evening table d'hôte, another lovely part of the stay. A gorgeous place and an amazing experience. We'll definitely come back.

We stopped here while travelling with my horse, and it was such a peaceful break. We had time to unwind and enjoy the pool before setting off again. The decor feels magical, the service was impeccable, and breakfast was outstanding. Thanks for such a warm welcome! ☀️🐴

The homemade breakfast was generous, parking was easy, and the location was quiet. We also appreciated the warm welcome in the evening and at breakfast, flexible reception hours, clear communication, and good value. The crib sheets smelled musty, so our child ended up sleeping with us. A few tiles by the bathtub were broken, and the bin hadn't been emptied. Still, the room was lovely and the welcome so warm that these things didn't feel like a big deal.

Camille gave us a very warm welcome, and the breakfast she prepared with so much care was a real treat. Our room was tastefully furnished and very spacious. We had a wonderful time here.

The area is lovely for long walks, with the Dordogne River very close by, and there's a pool to enjoy in season. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. Chartreuse de Dautré has plenty of charm, with a careful restoration, thoughtful comforts, and decor that keeps its authentic feel. Even with the temperature close to -3°C, we were warmly welcomed. It feels so much like a manor house that you half expect its lord to appear.
