The house feels like staying in an art gallery, but it still has all the equipment you need to feel at home. It’s tucked away from the crowds while keeping the Alsace hot spots about a 20-minute drive away. Great for hiking and biking too, and the golf course is only 10 minutes by car. Amazing place.

We spent Christmas Eve at Datchas Lodges, and I really couldn’t have asked for a better gift. I didn’t want to leave and would love to come back soon, in any season. The outside is like a chalet from a movie, with a Nordic bath and sauna that made for wonderful evenings under the stars. It was -5°C when we tried them, and we enjoyed it so much that we did it three days in a row. Inside there’s loads of space, lovely decor, a fully equipped kitchen, shower room, an en-suite bathroom in one bedroom, a huge living room with a large TV, Wi-Fi, and a wood stove that works really well. The owner even gave us helpful tips for lighting it. Datchas Lodges is a Polish chalet from 1934 that was dismantled and rebuilt in the beautiful village of Labaroche. The owner shared the wonderful story behind it. He was also so attentive and friendly, always available and full of great suggestions for walks, bakeries, butchers, vineyards, and pretty much everything. I’d been tempted to keep this gem to myself, but a place this special deserves to be known. Thank you for the discovery, your kindness, and everything 🤩

The snowy setting made our Valentine’s Day stay at Datchas Lodges feel especially magical. François had the Finnish bath ready for us, and it was such a relaxing moment. We also loved the crackling fireplace, refined decor, and the homemade apple juice waiting as a thoughtful touch. The comfort, warm atmosphere, and attention to detail made the stay feel perfect. We wholeheartedly recommend this gîte in Alsace for a romantic break or time with friends.

We spent a memorable stay with friends at Datchas Lodges in Labaroche, tucked among the Vosges Mountains. The peaceful setting and friendly, welcoming feel made it a real treat. We went for mountain hikes and spent evenings around the campfire. Thanks to the owners for such an enchanting place. We’ll be back!
