Les Terrasses De Labastide

We arrived around 6:00 PM for a reservation I'd made and paid for on Booking.com for Saturday, July 5, 2025, and found the establishment closed. A sign gave a phone number, but our call went straight to voicemail. We left a message and called several more times without getting a response. When I came back around 7:30 PM, nobody was there. Looking through the dirty windows, the neglected interior made it seem abandoned. I returned around 8:00 PM after seeing a light on and knocked. Someone answered, seeming dazed, and said they knew nothing about our reservation and that no rooms were ready anyway. I ended the conversation and looked for somewhere else to stay in La Bastide. I strongly advise against this place. I have to give it one star to post this, but it isn't even worth zero. It should be -5 stars. Avoid at all costs!

The antique furniture and large, welcoming rooms made it feel like stepping back into another time. We had a wonderful stay, with an excellent breakfast and a young, charming host.

Christmas Eve there turned into a fantastic evening. The hosts were warm and down-to-earth, and the rooms were lovely and spotless. Wonderful people and a great memory!

Dominique and Bernard were welcoming, generous hosts who went out of their way to help us. Our "family" room was spotless and felt like a little studio, with plenty of space and everything we needed: a welcome tray, hairdryer, and kitchenette with a refrigerator. The setup is much like a guesthouse.
