The Smart Box called it a “romantic gourmet weekend,” but we didn’t even stay the night. The room was tiny and nothing like the photos in the package, and the bathrooms were filthy, with dust and hair. The shower had no door, the ventilation was horribly loud, sewage came back up into the sink, and the bedding seemed questionable. There was even dog poop on the porch, and the guesthouse is right on the main road. We left and told the owner why. All he said was, “Oh, really.” One star because there’s no option to give less.
