Best Western Hotelio Montpellier Sud

Book online if you can. I was shocked the next morning by how much we’d paid for a stay of less than 12 hours without breakfast. Staff were friendly, and the simple little room was clean, but when we asked about discounts or breakfast, they couldn’t offer anything. They said booking online would have been 50EUR less, which felt like a rip off. I’ve contacted Best Western through their website to see whether anything comes of it. Getting there at night was strange for me as a Canadian. The area was dark, and we had to page someone to open the metal barrier. LOL

We never stayed the night because the hotel was fully booked, but the receptionist went out of his way to help us get settled at another hotel. That kind of help is a real rarity. Romain Boutin, thank you so much for your attention and support. You’re a wonderful, responsive person and worker. My husband and I were delighted!

We stopped here on a Saturday night while driving south toward Spain. The restaurant was closed, but the man at reception put together a generous cheese and ham board with fresh bread, then apple tart with ice cream for dessert. So we had no problem at all. He was a star, and I loved the effort he made.

The hotel was comfortable enough, and the staff were nice. Breakfast was pleasant and plentiful. One thing to know, it isn’t 1.8 miles from Montpellier airport. At night a taxi costs €40.
