The food at Le Luzerta was wonderful. The chef offers a big choice of local dishes, all carefully prepared to your taste. We were looked after even when we wanted lunch well outside the usual mealtime, and despite arriving as late as 10pm, the hosts checked whether we’d eaten and offered us dinner. Gil and Jessica are friendly and hospitable, especially to foreign guests, and really go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. Their hospitality stood out compared with other places in town. The hotel and restaurant make a particularly nice base for short or long visits to the Querncy region, right at the foot of historic Lauzerte. The lodging is simple, but very clean and comfortable. The showers are hot and the beds fresh and firm. It’s kid-friendly too: the large, sparkling pool and spa are surrounded by the restaurant and bar lounge, so your group can enjoy drinks and ice cream by the pool.

We were a family of four, with two young kids, walking part of the Compostela de Santiago with a donkey, and this hotel was a welcome change from the simple gites we’d stayed in most of the time, despite similar prices. The chalets are basic but clean, with a small kitchen and the essentials. The pool is nice and big, and they offer massages. They even offered us a lift to the village twice, which would otherwise be a 10-15 minute walk. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh croissants and coffee. The service was great and the welcome lovely. We really enjoyed our stay, and I’d highly recommend it.

It was advertised as a hotel, bar and restaurant, but when I arrived, the bar and restaurant were shut. The room felt damp, and the bedding smelled strongly of damp. The pool water was green. A terrible place.

The triple room was comfortable, and we were given such a warm, friendly welcome. During the heatwave, the pool was especially pleasant. The mud baths and games for children were great, and the pétanque court was excellent too. We only stayed one night, but the owner made a kind, thoughtful gesture afterward. We’d forgotten my son’s cuddly toy, and she quickly got in touch and sent it to us by post. Many thanks again!
