Le Relais

After a day paddling down the Allier River, we stopped in Lavoute Chilhac at "Le Relais" by Yvan. He was so welcoming, and since he serves meals too, we spent a lovely evening with him and the other guests. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. If we pass through Lavoute again, we’ll definitely stop in. And if you like Sangria, his is delicious 😜, just right after a day canoeing.

Yvan is a great cook, and he welcomed us to share a meal at his table. It brought back the feel of a real table d'hôte, and we had an excellent evening. The house has very comfortable rooms and sits right in the center of a wonderful village.

The house is conveniently located, with parking in this charming village, and our room was comfortable. Yvan, the owner, is such a kind and helpful person. On a warm summer evening, he invited us for an aperitif in the comfortable lounge before serving us a delicious dinner. The genuine connection made the evening especially memorable for my husband and me. Thank you so much, Yvan!
