It’s an ideal stop if you’re traveling by canoe like we were, right on the banks of the Allier river. The house has been beautifully renovated, and everything is provided with real generosity, from the welcome and furnishings to breakfast.

This guesthouse is magnificent 🤩, decorated with such exquisite taste. The engravings, paintings, and unusual art books make it feel like something from a design magazine. The bed was comfortable, breakfast colorful and varied, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.

The host made us feel very welcome, and I’ll always remember the wonderful breakfast served with a superb view over the Allier river. The place itself is magnificent and decorated with incredible taste.

Breakfast is served at a big, beautifully set table, and we enjoyed it on the balcony overlooking the Allier River, the bridge, and the lovely Lavoute Priory. The place itself is beautiful, with repurposed pieces, vintage finds, and art, plus a sense of humor and cultural openness. The host is down-to-earth, efficient, and very pleasant. Relaxation is practically guaranteed, so don’t hesitate! For parking, you can leave your car by the Allier River below the house and walk up through the garden to the street-side front door.
