The place may work for a stay of a few days, but I really wouldn’t recommend it for longer than a week. The outside of the apartments looks nice; inside, the charm disappears, especially when you have to deal with the owner. Communication was a struggle for me as someone who doesn’t speak French. Expect long Google Translate exchanges, and even then she may keep speaking French as if you understand. The biggest problem was the shower drain. It had been draining slowly since my first day, but when it clogged I couldn’t shower, use the toilet, or wash dishes for two days. The repairman made a mess throughout the apartment and left it there. The owner blamed me for the blockage and said I should clean up, which felt really rude. There’s technically WiFi, but the signal in my room was so bad I couldn’t even send a message. The owner insisted it was working. The building’s electrical system is very old, too. Using the stove and oven at the same time caused a total blackout after a few seconds, and there’s no fuse box in the apartment. If the owner isn’t around, you’re left to deal with it yourself. Do yourself a favor and find another apartment.
