Mercure Paris Le Bourget

We were told to get cheese and tomatoes from a fridge like a Coca-Cola fridge, while other guests were served properly. The difference in treatment felt clearly discriminatory, and it was unacceptable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Easily the worst breakfast I've ever had.

Cutlery was left in the room for four days, and the mattress cover was too small, about 15 cm, so I woke up on the torn mattress pad. Breakfast had no orange juice for three days, and the restaurant ignored requests, even a simple one like asking for rice instead of fries. With no restaurants open on weekends, the only option for lunch or dinner seemed to be UberEats. When I asked the bar to heat my pizza, they curtly refused. A disastrous stay.

The food was very good, and the staff were kind and always available. My room was quiet, thanks to the double windows, and the hotel was incredibly clean, rooms included. Despite the negative reviews, I can tell something has changed. From the other reviews, it seems like they're improving.

At least the reception staff were friendly and professional. The rest of the stay was a terrible value for money, and I can't see how this is a 4-star hotel or a Mercure standard. I'll never return. The location was awful, near a waste water facility, with garbage all over the surrounding streets. The area was noisy, and though there were four windows, I couldn't open them because of the noise. The old room smelled of waste water and had stained, small, old toilets, poor quality amenities and sanitary fixtures, and a constant blast of heat or air conditioning from a hole that I couldn't control.
