We came for the first week of September, our fifth year in a row. Bois Flottais remains a favourite, thanks to how close it is to both the beach and village centre. The rooms are tastefully decorated and cleaned daily, and there are two pools on site. Breakfast is served every morning, and the restaurant opens each evening except Sunday. Its menu has plenty of variety and the food is well prepared. You can eat there even if you aren’t staying at the hotel. I’d thoroughly recommend it.

After a morning cycling between villages, you might just want to stretch out with a book beside one of the hotel’s two pools. Le Bois Flottais is a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable base for exploring Ile de Ré. It’s close to the village, with its fabulous daily market, boutiques and cafes, and just a stone’s throw from the beach. The hotel’s own restaurant is excellent, one of the island’s top spots. I’ve lost count of our visits and can’t recommend it enough.

I enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay. The room was wonderful, the restaurant food totally delicious, and the price was quite acceptable. A very satisfied customer, and I can’t wait to come back.

This was our fourth stay, and we’re already planning another visit. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and peaceful, and the bistro food is fantastic. It’s in a quiet area close to the beach, with a warm welcome and efficient, friendly service.

We chose LBF for a few days on Il de Re to enjoy the beaches. Its strong reviews, including for the restaurant, and the short walk to the beach appealed to us, and we weren’t disappointed. Everyone on staff made us feel welcome. The breakfast selection was very good, and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. There are two secure parking areas, one at the hotel and another for larger vehicles, a two-minute walk away. It’s also a good base for seeing the rest of the island, with a short walk to the daily market in town.
