You'll want a car, since the gîte is 2 km from the resort centre. St Léger les Mélèzes is a great family resort, and the surrounding area is really nice. We had an excellent stay: the hosts were lovely and helpful, and the spacious apartment was well-equipped with easy parking. The garden was a real bonus for sitting in the sun, having picnics, and letting the children play.

The hosts keep to themselves but are very attentive. The apartments are clean and well-equipped, and the location is handy, 3 minutes from St-Léger and 10 minutes from Ancelle and the hiking trails.

We were welcomed so warmly by Françoise and Daniel, who paid attention to what we needed and gave us great ideas for walks and places to visit in the region. Their cottage sits a little higher up, so the views are lovely. Our apartment was spotless and well-equipped. They really care about nature, and even shared vegetables from their garden and eggs from the chicken coop with us. We highly recommend the place. Thanks, Françoise and Daniel.

We had a really pleasant stay and will definitely return, perhaps in summer. The nearby resort of Orcières is lovely, and the gîte was clean, well-maintained, and equipped for a family holiday. The owners are incredibly kind and have excellent suggestions for exploring the area. We highly recommend it.

We stayed for a week from late December 2019 into early January 2020. There was no snow while we were there, but Merlette, just 15 km away, was fantastic. We enjoyed beautiful walks in nature, and the welcome was wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable. See photos.
