The pools were a hit with the kids, especially the flumes, and the site made a handy base for the Dordogne's main sights. We particularly liked Sarlat's Wednesday morning food market and Thursday evening artisan market. Our Kal two bedroom unit had air conditioning and was great, though the football area was right behind it and had no limits on playing hours, so it sometimes went later than we'd have liked. This was our second stay at a Cap Fun site, after a week at La Linotte.

The kids loved the pool, and the food was a real plus, especially the pizzas and homemade desserts. Staff were lovely. We stayed in an Otello 8 mobile home, which was modern, roomy and very well equipped. The air conditioning came in handy when it reached 39C. The campsite is in the countryside just outside Le Bugue.

We were camping in a tent when a huge thunderstorm brought nearly two hours of torrential rain in the early evening. The staff offered us a mobile home key at no extra cost so we wouldn't get flooded. We'd arrived without much planning after an injury on our bike trip, and they'd already been endlessly helpful, even lending us a saucepan, salt and pepper from the kitchen after we bought a few things at the store. We really appreciated their kindness.
