That big veranda was lovely on Christmas Day, with the sun out and plenty of room for all of us to enjoy it. We were seven in the family, renting the cottage for Christmas, and it matched the description perfectly. There was lots of firewood, so it stayed warm around the large family table. The jams and blueberry tart were delicious, definitely worth trying. The owner lives very close by, which was a nice bonus. I’d happily recommend it.

The concrete slab gave off such a strong chemical smell that we couldn’t use the large veranda. We’d rented the cottage at full price and hadn’t been told about the problem. We discussed it with the owner, but no compensation was offered. I found that dishonest.

We were nine adults and stayed eight nights. The shops are about a 10-15 minute drive away, while the hiking trails in Xertigny are within walking distance. It’s a quiet cottage without immediate neighbors, and the fireplace adds a lot of comfort and atmosphere.

I spent two weeks here and would gladly have stayed longer. The house looks exactly like the pictures, and it’s a peaceful place to relax. The owners are very kind. I’d recommend booking without hesitation.
