The little apartments are well maintained and have everything you need, with a pretty view over a duck pond. We found this lovely place while passing through on our way to Normandy. It was excellent value, wheelchair accessible, and breakfast was included.

We really enjoyed the peaceful night here. It was quiet and restful, just what we needed before getting back on the road, and the price was excellent. We’re planning to stop in L'Hamel again at the end of May and on the way back at the end of June. There’s a big lawn and water outside, with a place to sit and let the dog run around. The room itself is small but clean, with a fridge, coffee maker, dishes, and a bottle of water. The four-poster bed is 1.40m and fairly comfortable, and the bathroom with its shower was decent. The owner is very friendly and approachable, though she speaks little or no English and no other foreign languages. If you arrive in the evening, you can get something to eat, but the jarred preserves weren’t really to our taste. Her red wine was very tasty, though. Breakfast was good by French standards, all sweet items, but with an egg and your choice of coffee or tea.

The owners were caring, attentive, welcoming, and helpful. We loved the magnificent, peaceful setting, surrounded by nature, and came away with a wonderful, unforgettable day. It’s such a good place to recharge in peace and quiet, and we’ll definitely return. Everything was perfect, with nothing to complain about. We recommend it 100%. Bravo to the owners for creating such an exceptional place!

The hostess was attentive, and we got a warm welcome for our one-night stay. Our room was well equipped, with a microwave for heating food, and a lovely view over the area with geese. Breakfast was hearty and had plenty of variety.
