A lovely little place, if you’re lucky enough to find a room available.

The stairs are a little steep, apparently because the house taxes at the time were based on the land, which led to narrow, tall houses. Otherwise, an excellent gîte. Emilie gave us a warm welcome, and we had fascinating conversations with her about Monastier and the surrounding area. The shop was closed, so there was no wine available at first, but it wasn’t a problem. Emilie made one phone call, and a family member delivered organic wine five minutes later.

Right on the Stevenson Trail, this is a charming guesthouse with genuinely warm hospitality and food. I really enjoyed the fascinating conversations with Emilie. She was so attentive and shared her many talents. Highly recommended.

A charming cottage right in the village, in a great location. Emilie gave us a perfect welcome. We had a delicious dinner and an excellent picnic.
