The upstairs sitting room was a lovely surprise, huge and all ours, and we could also use a small, well-equipped kitchen. It made it easy to feel at home and properly unwind in such a peaceful setting. We stayed one night in September, four of us in two standard double rooms for €162. Breakfast cost extra. The rooms were fairly spacious and spotless, with a refreshment tray, comfortable beds and good-quality bedding. The en-suite bathrooms were compact, but had plenty of hot water, toiletries and a hair dryer. The hotel is in a charming, quiet village. There’s lots of free parking behind the attractive period property, through a grand gateway. The gentleman who welcomed us was polite, discreet and efficient. We were impressed in every respect and would highly recommend it.

I loved the homemade yoghurt at breakfast, and the rest of the breakfast was great too. We really enjoyed the stay. The hotel mixes old architecture with modern features, and the setting was nice and quiet. Andrea and Ian with the Van

We were close to lovely towns and amazing vineyards, but the location itself was very peaceful. Richard was a big part of what made the hotel memorable. He took an interest in what we were doing and gave us great recommendations. His homemade yoghurt was a lovely addition to the extensive buffet breakfast. Puy is worth visiting just to see him.

There’s plenty of lawn to sit in the sunshine or have a BBQ, and a trampoline too. Inside, I loved the grand library, with comfy sofas, lots of books and space to settle in with a book. The atmosphere was relaxing and the owner very welcoming. Definitely recommend staying here. Breakfast was lovely too.

We had a triple room with air con, which was a real bonus during the heatwave. Once the kids were in bed, we could use the communal kitchenette and sit chatting on the sofas. The trampoline and lawn games kept them busy in the shade, and breakfast was lovely. Bring some food to cook, as shops aren’t always open and they’re not in the village. The kitchenette has a microwave, small oven/grill and two hobs. Lovely hotel, I’d recommend it.
