LE 56 Duplex avec Terrasse

The room had a really bad damp smell, so they moved me to another one. Breakfast was simple but good, and there was plenty of coffee. Parking was challenging, probably best to leave the car by the beach and walk down. It was so noisy. There was music on the street during the day and groups of people downstairs. We were in the rooms across from reception, and restaurant staff used the cover below us to smoke all night. I was on the third floor and could hear them the whole time. The electric radiator switch was snapped, and they couldn’t fix it. The shower pressure was okay and the water was hot, but the shower head and fittings were really cheap and sprayed in all directions.

Breakfast was a real highlight, loads of choice even though nothing was cooked. The annex rooms across the road seemed better than the ones in the main building. The location is excellent, but the hotel gets busy, and some English golfers can be noisy when they shout to each other. Parking is about 200 metres away and costs €20 a night. Service was, well, typically French. The rooms were okay.

We couldn't hear either street noise or sounds from other rooms, even though the hotel is right in the middle of town. Restaurants, bars and shops are all close by. The building is clearly an older one that's been extended, but it was clean and well maintained. We'd happily stay here again.

The staff were friendly and the location is excellent, but the room condition doesn't match the price. Sockets were hanging off the wall, and the hair dryer didn't work and had exposed wiring. This could be a great place with a bit more care.
