Les Tchanquées

It’s a quiet, pleasant spot, but using the pool didn’t feel inviting. The water was a questionable dark gray, with no visible sign of filtration, and the jacuzzi was the same color. There were no loungers for guests. The owner’s apartment opens onto the pool through a big bay window, so it felt like being in someone else’s home, which makes sense, but I felt like I was staying there. The poolside breakfast was served at a time that suited the owner: if someone booked for 9 am, an earlier request before 8 meant waiting until 9. Eating at the low table was uncomfortable. There was a lot of fuss with the tray, but it was always the same food. The linens, sheets and towels were colored. Hotels use colored linens for hygiene reasons, but I don’t like them, though it doesn’t seem to bother many other people.

The electric bikes were a lovely bonus for a scenic ride, and Philippe made us feel so welcome. He was kind, and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. We had two wonderful days with the girls to unwind in a calm, idyllic, relaxing setting. Our room was spacious, and having a terrace with a jacuzzi was great. Thanks again, we’ll be back 🤩 I highly recommend it 👍

We only had one night, but it did us a world of good. The private heated outdoor pool was a lovely extra, and the room was spacious and very clean. We also really enjoyed the terrace and its well-maintained jacuzzi. It was an idyllic, peaceful place, perfect for a romantic break. Thanks again to Philippe for the warm welcome, his kindness, and the generous breakfast. We’ll be back soon. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was just perfect, with sweet and savory choices, fruit, pastries, and plenty more. Philippe was warm, kind, and friendly, and the room had all the comforts we needed, including a coffee maker, fridge, and kettle. We felt right at home. We came as a family for a few days and loved this beautiful gîte, especially its terrace and peaceful feel. It’s also well located, around five minutes by car from the town centre. The bedding was exceptional, with a very large bed, and the bathroom had a very spacious shower. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Le Touquet, I highly recommend it. We’ll definitely come back.
