The food was good, but the service was so poor that we gave up on dessert and asked for the check. The meal was nearly 3 hours long. We waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come back so we could order another cocktail, while large groups who arrived an hour after us had finished their entire meals before we did.

The meal's strongest point for me was the food. La Cabro d'Or Baumanière builds its menu around local, seasonal produce and Provençal flavors, with options for meat eaters, seafood fans, and vegetarians. The appetizers included delicate seafood and lively vegetable dishes, all carefully presented with flavors that worked beautifully together. Every main course we tried was made with quality ingredients and handled skillfully. Desserts range from classic French pastries to more inventive treats, and make a lovely end to the meal. The wine list is extensive, with local and international bottles, and the knowledgeable staff can suggest pairings. Service throughout was attentive and warm, and the team seemed keen to make guests feel looked after. Inside, the rustic but refined decor and cozy atmosphere add to the welcome. Set in the picturesque village of Les Baux-de-Provence, within the charming grounds of the renowned luxury hotel Baumanière, the restaurant offers a memorable dining experience. It's a culinary gem for a special celebration, a romantic dinner, or simply a very good meal, with food, setting, and service that leave a lasting impression.

The setting is paradisiacal, the service second to none, and the food is the real standout, prepared with real skill and beautifully presented. The three course lunch menu is an unbelievable bargain. It would be a shame to be in the area and miss what I think is the best gastronomic experience around. Yes, I know the three starred L'Ostau is just a stone throw away, but I'd choose my golden goat any day. Merci La Cabro for another unforgettable meal. I was dreaming about my eggplant dessert last night.

I've visited twice, several years apart, and both meals were unforgettable. The gardens and fountain viewed from the terrace made for pure bliss. Service was very good, too. The 59€ lunch menu is excellent value and comes with amuse-bouches and petits-fours. Every dish amazed our group. My vegetarian salad starter was fresh and full of flavor, and they served it without fuss when I said I dislike seafood. The veal was tender and perfectly cooked, while peach and verbena made a lovely Provençal finish. My husband had been looking forward to the famous eggplant dessert, and called it delicate and surprising. If you enjoy dessert wines, the Corsican muscat by the glass is to die for.

This was our second stay here, and we were happy to have the experience. The hotel, restaurant, and setting are amazing, a great place to enjoy the landscape with friends. It has one of the best restaurants in the world, with 3 Michelin start.
