Montagnettes Lombarde

This is the best ski accommodation I’ve stayed in with a group. The chalet-apartment is spacious and suits a group well, without the cramped feeling you can get in an apartment complex. Skiing out is very easy. Getting back in depends on where you’ve skied, and can be tricky, especially if the Castor & Pollux carpet lift is closed. I’d definitely recommend it.

There’s a large entrance and a nice sauna included, but the apartment needs an update upstairs. The toilets, kitchen and electrical outlets need to meet today’s standards and offer more basic comfort. The photos look much nicer than the actual place, and the quality and comfort don’t match what you pay in February.

There’s plenty of space, though it’s not really suitable for eight. There aren’t enough electrical outlets, and the WiFi is very poor. Most of all, the place is badly maintained: we had a cold shower, the shower cabins wouldn’t close, the outside shutters were loose in the wind, and two windows had no curtains. It’s pretty expensive for what you get.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the location is very nice. The accommodation itself isn’t bad, and I’d give it at least four stars if the photos showed it accurately. They make it look fully renovated, which definitely isn’t the case, so they’re misleading at best. Other people’s comments about this accommodation are true. Businesses should show customers an accurate picture of what they’re booking.
