Camping La Cascade De Venosc

It's a really nicely situated campground, with good pitches for tents and fair prices. A shower costs €1. What really disappointed me was the receptionist's attitude when we wanted to leave at 13:00 so we could dry the tent. All morning she looked at us like criminals staying illegally, and I didn't feel welcome at all. The campground was empty then, so I don't understand why leaving was such an issue. If it were full, I could see why you'd need to leave early. They spoke very little English.

We came back for a third trip this year and stayed in the Tentabois. The welcome was amazing, the tentabois was clean, and the view was beautiful. The facilities were great and the staff friendly. The kids loved it, and we'll be back. It's a great area for activities.

The grounds are quiet and flat, right by the river, and there are great hikes nearby. Showers cost extra. Such a shame that the toilets and showers were VERY dirty.

We had a great, peaceful stay not far from the cable cars linking Venosc and les deux Alpes. We managed to book a cabin just two days before our one-night visit, but in peak season, August, you need to reserve much earlier. Sabine at reception was very friendly and pointed us to a nearby place to get food. I highly recommend it.
