Getting to the ski lift was an easy walk, and the hotel was a short stroll through the main village. Our room was tidy and nice, with a good balcony. My only issue was the half-board dinner: we expected a menu or a big buffet, but there was just one main dish, so if you didn't like it, there wasn't anything else to eat. The vegetarian option also felt lacking, especially in protein.

We stayed in January 2026 with Inghams, in the annex rooms across the street. The location was brilliant, just a few flat minutes to the Diable lift and perhaps 10-15 to Jandri, with plenty of shops and bars close by. Our modern room was very clean, and the staff were friendly and great. There's a relaxing bar lounge with games, plus a ski room, sauna and gym. One room in our group had to be changed after a leak, but it was handled easily. The room shown in the photos was single occupancy; the double rooms were a little larger and had balconies. A great hotel.

The hotel sits right on the shopping street, only about a 3-5 minute walk along a flat, wide path to the diable lift. We stayed for the January 2026 week with Inghams, and their guests are in the annex across the road from the front door, as shown in my photo. Our room looked new, with no marks, and was thoughtfully laid out. Everything was clean, the shower was good, there was a hairdryer and individually controlled electric heating, and we could see the mountains. There was no kettle. The twin beds are very narrow. Meals are full buffet, with a different soup, salads, main and dessert each evening. There was always cold meat, cheese and bread too, and you could have water or buy a drink at the bar. The buffet dinner surprised us at first, but it worked well: food was kept topped up, fresh and warm, and mostly French. Breakfast had a great range of cereals, breads, cheese, meat, hot eggs, bacon, coffee, squash and yogurt. The fresh bread was high quality, artisan style. The ski lockers were excellent, with seats, one locker per room and heated boot holders. Only getting one key per room was a nuisance, since you had to coordinate with your roommate. The bar was nice, and there is a large sauna downstairs in the main building. You need to get a separate key at reception. There isn't a changing room in the gym and sauna area, though there may be a toilet just outside it. Reception staff seemed fine throughout. The tax was confusing: one staff member said €18, but when we went to pay, they said €26. The €350 deposit also seemed crazy. What could you do in a room that costs so much? Other hotels just take your credit card, not an actual deposit. They also don't release it while you're there, so you leave with the money still held on your card. That brought my rating down.

The secure boot room was handy, with easy access straight outside, and the hotel is well placed for the lifts, resort buses and nearby supermarkets. We had a great stay at Base Camp Lodge in Les Deux Alpes. It's a fairly basic place, but warm and comfortable, with good beds and decent bathrooms, just what you need after skiing. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant, where the service stood out. The food was good and there was a choice at every meal. The bread deserves a special mention, it was delicious 🙂. Our one letdown was the housekeeping during the week. The room bin was emptied only once, on the second day, and our towels weren't changed. It would've been nice to have them refreshed. Even so, I'd happily recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a warm, convenient and comfortable stay in Les Deux Alpes.

The location is perfect, the bed was really comfy, and although the capsules are small, they're big enough. The staff were very nice, and dinner was good with generous portions. Parking was a big plus at 10 euros a day. But the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage, which even saved me some time and water 😉. That's unacceptable even at a low price and three stars. Breakfast was almost gone at 9:30, with no bacon, scrambled eggs, bread or ham. At 7:00 the next morning it was much better. The selection is small but good. Coffee was very weak. No water or towels in the room, and everything costs extra. Minus one star for the bathroom. Thanks!
