Chamois d'Or Hotel & Spa

The reception team really go out of their way for you, and the rooms are lovely. Breakfast is incredible, and the service throughout was amazing. In the evenings there’s a nice feel in the bar, where you’ll often meet ex-pats who are great company and loads of fun. Matt handles the on-site ski hire, and there’s also a nice little spa that I got to enjoy a couple of times. It’s a short walk to the slopes, with nice restaurants nearby. I had the best time and would definitely return.

Les Gets is an amazing town, and it brings some culture to a ski trip. The ski fields are huge. We stayed at a comfortable, clean hotel with a really convenient gear storage system. Depending on the snow, it might be possible to ski in, but when we visited, the lifts were only a short walk away.

Our room was beautiful, with a huge, comfortable super king size bed and a balcony over the village and the piste. Eclectic antique furniture added to the luxury touches throughout the hotel. We’ve stayed here many times over the past 12 years, and it always brings a little luxury to our trip. In March 2025, we travelled as a couple and were lucky to get perfect conditions. The lifts and gondola are just 5-10 minutes away on foot, and the on-site ski lockers are a bonus. Matt can arrange boots and skies before you arrive. We chose bed and breakfast, and the breakfast menu has grown a lot. You can choose from eggs, porridge, fruit, pasties, or healthy bowls, depending on your taste and appetite. We also booked the Friday and Saturday dinners, a fabulous three-course meal cooked with care by Duncan Green. It’s well worth a visit, though you’ll have to wait until next season now. Valeria was on hand as usual to answer questions and arrange restaurants and taxis, and Pete personally greeted guests with his welcoming smile and couldn’t do enough for us. We’d thoroughly recommend the hotel and hope to be back as soon as we can. Thanks, everyone.

We’ve enjoyed staying at the Chamois D’Or in both summer and winter several times over the past 7 years, with our two children, now 7 and 5. It manages to feel homely while still having understated luxury. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated with cozy touches that make for a good night’s sleep after a day enjoying what Les Gets has to offer in any season. Every staff member has been genuinely friendly and helpful, whether we’ve asked for restaurant suggestions or just needed a warm smile after a long day. The downstairs bar is stylish without feeling pretentious, with a great drinks selection. When the weather’s good, it’s lovely to sit out on the terrace. We all enjoy the cooked breakfast and continental buffet, with something for everyone. Serving from 7:30am-10am works well for different schedules.
