We had great contact with the proud owners, Stephane and Carol, both before and during the stay. Stephane makes fabulous champagne. I know because I’ve probably tried more than 50 over 15 visits to the Champagne region. The village is quiet and doesn’t have many shops, though there are various places to visit nearby. Don’t miss Troyes. For dinner, Le Garde Champetre is a good choice, but book ahead. The separate building, Le Chai, has champagne and other drinks, plus meals that just need a brief warm-up. These are charged separately. The house itself is luxurious, with three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and lots of attention to detail. The kitchen has everything you need and then some. Air conditioning is a welcome extra when it’s really hot. There’s parking in the private courtyard, and you can charge your car for a reasonable cost. Outside, there’s a very large private garden with a pool kept at a nice 29-30 degrees C, and a jacuzzi. There’s another garden by the entrance, a pleasant spot for an apero or BBQ.

We loved our weekend at villa Lombardi on February 14 th. Everything was great and very clean, and the spa was a big plus, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon or evening. Thanks for the lovely welcome, Carol and Stephane, and for the chocolate we enjoyed so much. Carol, you’re a super host, so nice, and I’m glad we got to meet in person. A peaceful place with a very well equipped kitchen. The bakery and supermarket are within walking distance. The owner also makes wonderful champagne!

We stayed for 3 days with 7 adults, from May 1 to 4, 2025, and were lucky to have fantastic weather, 29 degrees. The location is very beautiful and quiet, with a nice pool, and everything was neat and clean. The village itself feels like time has stood still for 200 years, with little to no entertainment. A few towns further away have plenty to do, and there are some fine restaurants nearby.

The breakfast was extensive and had absolutely everything thought of. Communication with the owner was excellent, and the villa was spotless, modern, and equipped with every comfort. Everything was simply top-notch. It’s in a quiet area with many champagne houses, and their own champagne is delicious too.
