The garden and patio gave us a lovely quiet spot to sit outside, and the gîte itself felt warm, comfortable, and even better than home. The decor is beautiful, with so much care in the details. We stayed at La Petite Grange near the start of our holiday while touring the French wine region. The peaceful countryside was just what we needed. Ophelie and Jim were wonderful hosts and made settling in easy. The fridge was stocked, and they left fresh eggs from their hens and homemade apéritif wine for us. We were sorry to leave for our next stop and already hope to come back soon. A beautiful place with lovely people, and a memorable start to our holiday.

The cottage was clean, neat, and tidy, with supermarkets and local shops only a short drive away. It’s a lovely tucked-away place with everything you need for a relaxing break. The new cycle path nearby is a nice extra if you want to explore the area. We’ll definitely consider booking here again.

A quiet, scenic spot with local facilities close by. The gîte was well equipped and well looked after by the owner, who lives nearby. I’d recommend it if you want to get away from it all.

So nice and peaceful. The place was clean and comfortable, and the host was great.

The quiet setting and the March evenings by the wood-burning stove made this a really enjoyable five-day stay. There was a well-stocked pile of firewood, and the daffodils and primroses were already making the countryside lovely as spring approached. We’ve stayed in this kind of accommodation many times, and this house was easily our best experience in years. Everything was provided, and the amenities were even better than at home. Ophélie, the owner, left eggs from her hens, aperitif wine, redcurrant jam, and other homemade treats. We also met Claude, a retired neighbor who loves going into the forest to “cut firewood.” We spent the days riding routes suggested by “La Vallée du Loir à vélo” (The Loir Valley by Bike). They were clearly marked and took us along pleasant, quiet, picturesque roads and paths. Our e-bikes helped us manage some steep hills that would have meant getting off and walking on regular bikes. It was a very enjoyable trip, and we definitely plan to do it again.
