The view from the covered terrace is spectacular, especially as the sun starts to set, so I'd ask for a terrace table. We visited in August and booked ahead, which I'd recommend since restaurants are often full in summer. We arrived at 7 PM, and the awning was taken down as the sun dropped. I had champagne by the glass for apero, and it came with an amuse buche, a nice surprise. To start, I ordered escargot with wild mushrooms. The snails were out of their shells, so they were easy to eat with bread. I had lamb, my husband chose steak, and for dessert I had a light, airy Pavlova with a crunchy finish. His chocolate dessert was just as good, with mousse and a thin, crisp chocolate shell. Even the coffee came with a little strawberry mousse wrapped in dark chocolate. I was full, but still ate it. The food was excellent, and the servers were kind and the service amazing. This is a restaurant I'll come back to with company. It's going to be my new go-to for the food, the view, and the service.

We only ate at the restaurant, and the meal was superb. At 90€ for two it wasn't cheap, but everything was delicious and the service was both friendly and impeccable. I gave the rooms five stars so I wouldn't bring down my average, though I can't speak from experience about staying there. I'd highly recommend the restaurant, and imagine the hotel is held to the same high standard.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and good. We also had a fantastic view, and the sister hotel across the road serves a fantastic lunch. At this place, the food is always fantastic, with a good choice of home-grown ingredients and fresh produce. The staff were pleasant and helpful too.

We loved the food, and the owners were so friendly. They explained the dishes with real knowledge and enthusiasm. For the quality, setting, and service, the price felt too low. Incredible meal!

We stopped here on the way to Spain and arrived too late for a proper meal, but the lady of the house was relaxed and kind and still put together a French and Spanish cheese platter with lovely bread and some tapas. Our room was across the river, and the views from both the front and back were amazing. Breakfast was top class, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants, baguette, and a beautiful view.
