Pascal’s bread, croissants and pain au chocolat, baked fresh on site every day, were some of the best we’ve ever had. We also had a spacious, hedged pitch with plenty of shade during the extreme heat, and a lovely pool for cooling off. The site was wonderfully quiet, and the owners were cheerful and very helpful. With the Dordogne and Vezeres rivers nearby, there are chances to swim, canoe or kayak, and drive along them to lots of beautiful places.

My daughters and I spent a wonderful month at Camping Les Poutiroux. It has a warm, family-run feel, and the owners were always smiling, helpful, funny, and ready with good tips about what to see and do nearby. The other holidaymakers were welcoming too, and lots of them come back each year. My children soon felt safe and independent here. Everything was so clean, from the sanitary facilities to the well-kept pool. The showers had hot water and adjustable temperatures. Manon organized activities for the children each morning, and there was plenty to do, including a trampoline, inflatable games, playgrounds, and a sports area for adults. We enjoyed the evening entertainment too, with magic shows, clowns, dance parties, and movie nights. The meals and cocktails were tasty and reasonably priced. There’s morning bread and pastries, a small convenience store, and a shuttle for canoe trips so you don’t need a car. We loved how peaceful, clean, and friendly the campsite was, and how much effort the owners put into helping. We’ll definitely return.
